Oak Ridge Country Club

OAK RIDGE COUNTRY CLUB

Oak Ridge Country Club is a private course in Oak Ridge, TN. It isn't our usual destination spot course blog but ORCC is my home course. I have been a member for 2 years running.

It is a 6800 yard track from the tips and is a fun course to play. The course isn't the hardest in town but makes up for it with the beautiful layout. The front nine is rather flat and straight but a daunting par 4 no. 6 as the hardest hole on the course. The back nine is much more elevated and is not a walkers paradise. It takes you a little bit more through the East Tennessee mountains and has quite a bit of elevation. 15, the long par three is one of the prettiest holes at sunset when the sun is shining through the trees highlighting the green surrounded by 2 bunkers. No. 18 is a long par 5 from the most elevated part of the course looking down to the landing area before hitting right back up the hill to the club house. Arguably the prettiest hole on the course from the tee box.

Oak Ridge Country Club is a must play if you ever have the opportunity to get out with a member. You are ever in the Oak Ridge area, give me a call and we will play!

  • Hi Matthew,
I’d love to hear more about the club. I’m considering joining. It would be great to hear from a member as opposed to someone who isn’t but still reviewed it.

  • David,

We have played avalon and it is a great course, but really no comparison to Oak Ridge. Much better setting at Oak Ridge, and the private aspect elevates it even more. Thank you for your response!

  • Hello, thanks for the review. I’ve been over there to have a look. Thinking of joining.
    Have you tried Avalon?
