Dale Hollow
Dale Hollow Golf Course is a beautiful state-run track in Burkesville, KY just a few miles off of Dale Hollow Lake. It is not only a hidden gem, but it is close to my heart due to the fact that my family boats on this lake every weekend in the summer. Luckily, the course speaks for itself.
For a state-run course in a small town, the course stays in great condition. Vibrant, bent grass greens compliment the mountain-style golf course perfectly. Dale Hollow always calls for a downhill or uphill shot, as only a few holes are flat. The only downfall to this secret slice of paradise is how they have handicapped the holes. There are a few very tough Par 3s, and one Par 4 that is a win when you walk away with a par. With that said, somehow the short and somewhat straight Par 5s are awarded the hardest capped holes on the course.
Battling Mother Nature is the name of the game at this course. You are sure to see some sort of wildlife walking along the cart paths. The impeccable views and well groomed fairways will keep you always coming back to Dale Hollow.
